America's Favorite Past Time

Baseball has long been considered America's favorite past time. Whether you agree with this or not, the fact remains that the sport is widely popular in the United States and across the world. We all know about all the great players like Babe Ruth, Satchel Paige, Mickey Mantel and Ted Williams. We all know about all the greatest games ever played like when the Red Sox broke the "Curse of the Bambino" and when the Florida Marlins somehow beat the powerful New York Yankees. But do we all know about how the game started and how it got to be where it is today? This is my goal for you. I not only want you to enjoy learning how to get better at the skills of baseball and to enjoy playing the game, I want you to enjoy learning about how, why and when the game started. Listed below are the tasks I want you to complete for this unit. Don't forget to check out the web sites I have attached to help you in your search to complete the tasks! Have fun!
